Why Mediation Matters
In 1987, Texas led the nation by passing the Texas Alternative Dispute Resolution Procedures Act — the most comprehensive ADR law of its time. This groundbreaking legislation didn’t just place Texas at the forefront of mediation; it helped accelerate its growth nationwide by giving courts and communities a clear framework to resolve disputes outside the courtroom. Today, mediation is one of the most trusted paths to resolution because it gives people control, protects confidentiality, saves time and money, and often leaves everyone more satisfied with the outcome. By choosing and participaing in mediation/ADR, you’re participating in a proven process that Texas helped pioneer — one designed to turn conflict into resolution..

What is Mediation
Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provides all parties involved a fair and constructive way to resolve conflict without the cost, delay, and stress of going to court. Focusing on open communication and practical solutions, mediation allows parties to have more control over the outcome, protect important relationships, and reach agreements that truly reflect their needs and interests.
It is a confidential, respectful process that helps transform disputes into opportunities for understanding and resolution.
